Contemplative Walking
Bank Holiday Weekend Retreat
with John Douglas
Friday 1 August, 7.30pm to Monday 4 August, 2.30pm
“Walk as if you are kissing the Earth with your feet.” Thich Nhat Hanh
Enjoy a Bank Holiday weekend break experiencing mindfulness in action through meditation and relaxed walking on beautiful trails on the Beara Peninsula.
This popular event focuses on cultivating mindfulness in action, combining morning and evening meditation with leisurely, contemplative walks.
Strolling together on local trails there is time to chat and get to know each other as well as periods of silence conducive to a more contemplative, reflective walking experience.
Invitations to pause, to be still and simply present with the sights, sounds and scents of the world around you will infuse your experience. Sharing the beauty of nature, in the silent presence of others, we start to see that the same beauty of nature is also reflected in the heart of everyone.
This event is suitable for people new to meditation as well as those with previous experience.
