Healing Relationships through Listening
Transforming Connections with Awareness Centred Listening
with Rosamund Oliver and John Douglas
Friday 20 June, 11am to Sunday 22 June, 1pm
This weekend is for anyone who wishes to heal relationships with partners, family members, friends and work colleagues, some of whom may no longer be in our lives.
Topics for the weekend
- Kindness towards our hard-to-deal-with feelings such as disappointment, grief, fear, anger, pain or hurt.
- How to break patterns of relationships that keep coming back and don’t heal.
- Healing our own relationship with ourselves.
- Reconnecting with our inner sense of well-being and self-compassion.
- Transforming past difficulties and becoming open to more genuine relationships.
During this weekend we focus on both compassion for ourselves as well as ways to heal our relationships with others.
Self-compassion will be one of our themes because sometimes kindness to ourselves leads to more compassionate interactions with others. This self-reflective workshop, away from the busyness of our daily life, will offer both insights and a practical methodology to kindly address old problems in relating and heal difficult communication with others.
Methods used in the weekend
- Experiential exercises on listening and communication in pairs and small groups
- Reflective guided reflections and meditations
- Group discussion.
