Discover the Freedom of Awareness
Guided Meditation Retreat with Patrick Gaffney
Friday 14 March 7.30pm to Monday 17 March 1pm
Meditation is much more than a method for cultivating inner peace, contentment and relaxation. The true purpose of meditation, as taught by the Buddha, is to discover who we really are, and sever the root of suffering.
In this retreat, Patrick Gaffney will guide us in exploring the profound path of meditation as a practice of
connecting with the natural awareness of mind. By finding our way to be simply present, aware and relaxed, we can free our mind from the turbulence of relentless distraction and discover inner stability, balance and stillness.
Gradually, we begin to uncover an aspect of ourselves often hidden amidst the busyness and turmoil of daily life—a vast, sky-like nature of mind and
heart, which is at once awake, compassionate, primordially unlimited, and free.
For the first time, Patrick Gaffney will be leading a retreat for the Rigpa Sangha in the new temple in Dzogchen Beara. This is a rare opportunity to be guided by Patrick in the profound Dharma teachings of our lineage and to practise together in a place of extraordinary beauty and spiritual power.
Dzogchen Beara is a not-for-profit charity. The fees are set at a minimum to cover the costs of this event but we have many other daily expenses to keep the centre open. Please consider making a donation where indicated during your booking.
