We’re delighted that the second major phase in the building of the temple at Dzogchen Beara has begun. We have completed a rock armour wall to the North of the site and now the digging of trenches for laying the foundations is well under way.
The temple will be completed in the style of a traditional Tibetan monastery, with sensitivity to the natural environment. It will have some modern architectural features, such as floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of the spectacular ocean vista.
Visiting Lamas have commented that the view at Dzogchen Beara is enough in itself to inspire the experience of meditation without effort. The temple is designed to be a place of inspiration, for our time and for the future, open to all and sharing the benefits of meditation and the Buddhist teachings of wisdom and compassion for the whole world.
